By now the reader knows America has a problem, and that problem is a CCP led China, which wants to replace America to become the leader of a new world order. There is no doubt China is an existential threat to America, and yet somehow these threats are not getting the attention and action they should. What are the hurdles that are preventing America from addressing the many threats China poses?
The likely biggest hurdles to stopping China from replacing America as top dog on the global stage are American politicians!
Now, not all politicians are giving China a pass, such as Representative James Comer, Chair of the Committee on Oversight and Accountability, which is the main investigative committee of the United States House of Representatives. The committee's broad jurisdiction and legislative authority make it one of the most influential and powerful panels in the U.S. House. Comer’s position on this committee gives him the authority to investigate the threats posed by China. Unfortunately, the response of many other politicians has too often been lackluster. After watching this 5-minute video the viewer will see that Comer is not afraid to call out the Washington politicians and bureaucracy for being incapable or unwilling to recognize China’s efforts to undermine our nation.

It is not just our federal government which is being influenced by the CCP’s United Front Work (See Lesson 3). State and local governments are more and more often being exposed to these same influences.
China sees state’s rights as a back door which gives it the ability to advance the CCP’s goals at a state and local level. Under state's rights each state has the right and the power to operate independently from the federal government as long there is no violation of the U.S. Constitution. This gives China the ability to go to state and local governments-to the governors and the mayors-where China can carry out the same United Front Work that they carry out on a Federal level.
Two key differences; the state and local governments usually have a poorer understanding of China’s United Front Work and are also more in need of financial help because they cannot print money. This makes state and local governments and their mayors and governors much more likely to accept financial perks and to align themselves with China in financial deals.
Sister City Programs
One of the tactics China uses to capture mayors and governors (and it is actually called “Elite Capture”) is through the Sister Cities program. A Sister City is a form of legal or social agreement between two geographically and politically distinct localities for the purpose of promoting cultural and commercial ties. In other words a city in a country, let’s say Carmel, Indiana, in the United States, agrees to create an agreement to interact economically, socially, culturally, etc. with a city in China to create what you’d think would be a totally benign relationship-but, heck, this is China. China will leverage this opportunity to find ways to take advantage of the naiveté of their sister city in America/Indiana to gain intelligence, gain financial advantages, indoctrinate the American citizens, or carry out any number of other nefarious activities.

When is Sister City not a Sister City but Creates the Same Result?
Sometimes a city in America will not make a formal agreement with a city in China but instead an American city will create an informal relationship with a Chinese-linked enterprise located within America’s borders. While not a formal agreement, it still provides the CCP an opportunity to carry out United Front Work on American soil. Such is the case between the city of Pataskala in Ohio and a 49%-Chinese-owned factory, Illuminate USA, in Pataskala.
Illuminate USA’s ability to advance its United Front Work efforts in Pataskala hinged on its ability to win over Pataskala’s local government and the mayor. Given the city’s need for money, this was not a hurdle that needed cleared. What was most concerning was the eagerness of Mayor Mike Compton to provide this factory the illusion of respectability. It was this illusion of respectability along with Illuminate USA’s willingness to ‘give out stuff that feels good’, as stated in the video by FBI Director Pompeo, which gave Illuminate USA the green light to carry out its United Front Work in Pataskala in the last ten months.
Fixing One American Politician at a Time will prevent China from Winning Its Silent War on America
Lesson 9 attempted to warn the reader that many politicians have been reluctant to deal with the threats China poses and that some have even given support to China’s infiltration of America. This must stop. Just as China will attempt to take over America one community at a time, we must motivate politicians one politician at a time to step up and do their job of protecting America.
Since Pataskala’s mayor, Mike Compton, is the villain in this too-real saga, then he is the first politician who should be called out. He facilitated the infiltration of the CCP-linked factory into the Pataskala area.

In the last 12 months you have given Illuminate USA, a CCP-linked factory, your total support. You have demonized and lied about those who attempted to explain at the Pataskala City Council meetings how the Chinese Communist Party’s goal is to destroy America. You refused to provide transparency by using Robert’s rules in the meetings to avoid answering questions and refused to provide an open forum/town hall where any citizen who desired to attend could ask questions of the council and/or the leaders of Illuminate USA. Behind the scenes you were taking and encouraging others “influential in the community” to take tours. In the local newspapers you were singing the praises of Illuminate USA. You even attempted to prevent our Constitutional freedom of political speech at the recent Pataskala 4th of July Fireworks sponsored by Illuminate USA so no one at the event would put you in the uncomfortable position of defending the indefensible.
Your biggest sin is not what you said, but what you did not say. You never told the community that this factory is 49%-owned by LONGI, a Chinese corporation. You never told the community that Illuminate USA has direct ties to the CCP. You never told and, actually outright refuted, the fact that this factory is influenced by the CCP. You didn’t tell the community that approximately 80 Chinese Nationals are currently employed by Illuminate USA creating a security risk for our community and the nation. The only possible explanation for why you did not share this important information with the community is you and the city council knew it was damning and wanted to prevent the community from learning the truth. You are the poster child for dereliction of duty.
Mayor Compton, the CCP is known for controlling politicians who are not knowledgeable enough and/or ethical enough to avoid falling into their trap. You are just one in a long line of easily duped mayors. It is not too late for you to do the right thing for Pataskala and America and distance yourself and this town from Illuminate USA. Don’t let your legacy be that you were the mayor who betrayed his country.
